Hello,
As I'm sure you may have heard from other parties, Gumroad will no longer be hosting NSFW content. Patreon has also amended it's TOS regarding NSFW although the degree to which this will be any more stringent in practice than it has been remains to be seen.
The first bit of news there mostly effects my plans for a long running project so I wouldn't sweat it. I just need a new place to sell once it's done. But I'm mostly wishing to bring attention to the fact that my Patreon and Subscribestar host the same content at the same time, but Subscribestar has never made any motions to limit my content. While I will continue to advertise and support both platforms out of support for the people using both, I wish to encourage people considering backing me new, to do so on Subscribstar because we never really know when the hammer is going to randomly drop on Patreon. They've been generally good to me in the past in terms of not making permanent bans on my account but the fact I've had temporaries and needed to remove things means I'm 100% not immune to the grey area of ToS.
If you are a Patreon member in one of the limited access tiers that gets a reward drawing on a monthly or bi-monthly basis and would like to move your subscription to Substar, please reach out to me and I can create a slot for you there so you can claim it without losing your privileges.
Hello all,
Just wanted to check in. As some of you may know, my day job is working in healthcare for the federal government of the USoA (specifically, I work for the Department of Veteran's Affairs). Needless to say, this week has been... a lot. And we're not expecting it to get simpler anytime soon. I wanted to assure people that while this will eat into my weeknight work, at the moment I'm still free on my weekends. That being said, the state I'm located in is proving to be a bit of an epicenter for the moment so the situation could change radically and my time may become more limited for a period. I will still be aiming to get a reasonable release schedule met and intend to have the first draft of level seven out by the end of Sunday. In the meantime, I've begun a class on data structures and queued up a lot of lessons on scripting and coding so if I do get stuck at work for any duration, I at least have some learning material. Regrettably I work off a desktop so I can't just bring Unity with me to work to catch up if your soft lockdown gets any more stringent.
Have a good one yall.
